Vanquisher tells the epic tales of Conan the Cimmerian and the Hyborian Age written by Robert E. Howard and embraces the theme fully both musically and visually. The sword and sorcery laden epic heavy metal quintet from Sweden follows the best traditions of fellow bands such as Eternal Champion, Manilla Road and Manowar.
2022 saw the release of Vanquisher’s debut album ”An Age Undreamed of” together with Stormspell Records – mixed and mastered by Niklas Johansson (Tungsten/Hulkoff). The release was followed up with a few live shows like Kristianstad Rockfest and a Release Party at Plan B in Malmö (even serving a special beer by Heavy MetAle themed for the event!).
Having constructed their own studio and rehearsal space ”Stronghold Studios” during the time of the pandemic Vanquisher is now back in full strength and currently forging the next chapter.
While Vanquisher was officially founded in 2014 by singer Johan Jönsson and guitarist Robin Malm it all really took off as a band in late 2017 when the full band was assembled after having released the first EP ”A Demonstration of Power”. From that point forward they made sure to play live and find the strenghts in their songs before bringing them to the studio in 2019 when the first single ”Shadows over Stygia” was released.

Hailing from south of Sweden, Vanquisher chronicles the adventures of the Hyborian age and brings Robert E. Howard’s classic tales about Conan of Cimmeria to life with their own take on Epic Heavy Metal. With an explosive show Vanquisher embraces the theme to its full extent and is a must to experience live.
2022 saw the release of their debut album ”An Age Undreamed of” in collaboration with Stormspell Records, the album was mixed and mastered by Nick Johansson of Tungsten. Nick with whom Vanquisher is working together with again and forging what is to be their second album, from which songs are already being played live.
Vanquisher has played in Sweden, Denmark, Germany, England and Finland and at highlight festivals such as Time to Rock Festival, Headbangers Open Air, Steel Held High and Månegarm Open Air.
